Rare and remarkable lot of three Griffon model chandeliers, produced by the prestigious Val Saint-Lambert crystal glassworks in Belgium.
This iconic model is officially listed in the 1935 catalog 'Moulures fantaisies', a landmark period of the factory's Art Deco production.
The chandeliers rest on a base sculpted with winged griffins, mythological creatures symbolizing strength and protection, finely cast with great attention to detail. The baluster shaft and the flowered bobeche complete the ensemble in a monumental and elegant aesthetic, characteristic of the 1930s.
