Brockwitz - Friedrich Scheiner - Fruit bowl - Glass

Luxuriously designed Art Deco fruit bowl based on the design by Friedrich Scheiner and produced in the German glassworks of Brockwitz in the 1930s.
The dish is made of clear pressed glass and features characteristic Art Deco style elements.
Notably, the handles are shaped like snakes.
This fruit bowl can be found in the 1936 catalog under number 9076a (see last photo).
The fruit bowl was available in two sizes. This specimen is the largest model.
The catalog price was 150 ReichsMarks, which was a very substantial amount at the time.
The dish is in perfect condition. It does have air bubbles and small imperfections that are typical of pressed glass from the interwar period.
