Elegant tablecloth in pure linen, of Italian artisanal manufacture, new and never used, embellished with hand embroidery featuring panetto drawthread work, a traditional, high-skill technique now rare.
The decoration runs along the perimeter with a refined zig-zag motif, enriched by perforated square inserts with a central radiating pattern and by a delicate raised embossing.
The contoured edge, carefully finished, attests to the high level of craftsmanship.
The set includes its 12 coordinating napkins, designed to accompany the tablecloth and not added later.
A piece linked to the Italian textile tradition of the mid-twentieth century.
