The selection of texts, curated by the curator of the Benjamin Weil exhibition, offers a deep conceptual foundation that helps to understand the extraordinary richness of Sol LeWitt's work through the artist's writings and texts by art historians, critics, and artists, previously unpublished in Spanish.
Among the essential texts that make up the catalog are “Paragraphs on Conceptual Art,” which LeWitt sent to Artforum magazine in 1967, an article regarded as a genuine statement of intent for conceptual art. The ideas and thoughts expressed in this text are integrated into the article “Phrases on Conceptual Art,” published by the artist in the magazine Art Language in 1969 and also included in this catalog.
The publication includes Wall Drawings and Doing Wall Drawings, published by LeWitt in April 1970 in Arts Magazine.
