A very fine lot of five autograph letters signed by Ferdinand Bac, a French writer, illustrator, caricaturist, decorator, painter, ironworker, and landscape gardener and lithographer.
Also included in this lot: a humorous letter to the Larousse dictionary to change the proverb “A dog in a porcelain shop,” written by Ferdinand Bac and with multiple signatures to identify, plus a letter from Jean Barberie with an envelope on which is written in Ferdinand Bac’s hand ‘I offer this beautiful letter from Jean Barberie to Emily. There is a world in these lines.’
