Elegant Art Nouveau three-piece dressing set made in Spain in the mid-20th century, with 916/000 silver caps and necks and hand-cut lead crystal, including two perfume bottles with original silver necks and interior crystal stoppers and a large powder jar with a solid silver lid; all pieces in very good condition and monogrammed.
Description from the seller
Description: Elegant and robust three-piece vanity set in Art Nouveau (Modernist) style, made in Spain in the mid-20th century. The set stands out for its high silver content and the excellent quality of its cut crystal.
The lot includes:
Two perfume/lotion bottles: they retain their original silver necks and, most importantly, their inner glass stoppers, which allow them to be used functionally today.
A large-format jar (Polvera/Algodonero): with a lid in solid silver decorated with reliefs of garlands and floral motifs typical of Spanish Modernism.
Technical Analysis and Brands:
Silver: caps and necks stamped with the 916/000 mark (Spanish 916/1000 fine silver) and the five-pointed star punch, an official guarantee mark in Spain since 1934.
Crystal: High-quality lead crystal body, hand-cut with a design of vertical facets (ribbed) and a base with a multi-rayed star, which provides exceptional brilliance and refraction.
Artisanal Fit: The pieces feature confrontation numbers (No. 34) stamped on both the silver and the crystal neck, which guarantees that each cap was individually adjusted by hand for its corresponding bottle in the silversmith’s workshop.
Customization: The pieces feature an elegant hand-engraved monogram on the central shield.
Condition: The set is in very good overall condition. The glass is flawless, with no cracks. The locking mechanisms and internal stoppers work perfectly. Note about the silver: The lid of the large jar shows some light bumps or small superficial dents due to normal use over decades. These details are cosmetic and do not affect the piece's integrity. It is recommended to carefully examine the close-up photographs to assess this point.
