Description from the seller

This monograph on the Belgian surrealist artist Paul Delvaux, written by Barbara Emerson, is a true standard work.
This concerns the first Dutch-language edition, published by Mercatorfonds in 1985.
Blue linen band/hardcover with dust jacket, in excellent condition.

Paul Delvaux (1897-1994) was a Belgian artist, considered part of the surrealist movement, although he did not fully agree with this classification himself. He described his work as 'poetic realism.' Female nudes, stations, trains, platforms, and architecture were central to his visual language.
