Charming and rare antique bedside table or small writing desk from a by-gone era, a true piece of history. Its authenticity is evidenced by marks of handcrafted workmanship (tool marks, traditional joinery techniques such as hand-cut dovetails and pencil marks on the hidden parts).
Style and Era: Transitional style Louis XVI / Napoleon III, probably dating from the second half of the 19th century (around 1850-1880).
Materials: Solid wood (potentially walnut or mahogany) with a magnificent natural patina, enhanced by corner mounts and finely chiseled ormolu (gilded bronze) fittings.
