A 6‑piece lot of original Fat‑Lava wall lights from Germany, dating to the 1970s, with ceramic bodies and red‑brown lava glaze displaying pronounced surface texture, in good used condition and in working order, with one lamp having a crack in the side and the missing piece supplied.
Description from the seller
Set of 6 original Fat-Lava wall lamps, Germany, 1970s. Characteristic mid-century design with a striking hexagonal ceramic form. Expressive red-brown glaze with the typical lava texture, sculptural crater formations, and lively glaze runs, partly with orange accents. Each lamp exhibits unique surface characteristics, as is typical for Fat-Lava ceramics of that era.
Massive ceramic body with an embedded metal mount (screw mount, presumably E14). The back is open and designed for wall mounting. The highly relief-embossed surface creates a decorative play of light and shadow and remains striking even when unlit.
A rare 6-piece set, ideal for collectors, lovers of studio pottery, or for decorating larger wall surfaces. An authentic example of German ceramic art from the 1970s in the coveted Fat Lava style, which to this day remains a defining element of European mid-century design.
Please note the lamp that has damage to the side wall. The missing piece will be included. (see photos)
A lamp has a crack on the side. (see photos)
Light signs of wear in the form of paint residue and minimal chipping of the Fat-Lava glaze.
The lamps are functional and are shipped without bulbs.
Please refer to the photos for the measurements.
The goods are wrapped in padding foil and enclosed in bio-foam within a double-walled carton, shipped via DHL.
