Chess set - Las Cruzadas - Bronze, Wood

Impressive vintage medieval history chess set with alloy bronze/metal figures depicting "The Reconquista" and the clashes between Christian and Muslim troops of the Late Middle Ages during the Crusades.

This lot includes a spectacular structure (pyramid-shaped base) made of various materials with different relief scenes on all sides. On top there is a lovely wooden board, which on one side is the chessboard, and on the other side serves to protect the board.

Additionally, the chess set includes a full set of 32 highly detailed metal pieces (the pawns of each side have their shields enameled) representing the Christian and Muslim factions. These pieces measure between 6.5 and 8 cm. The pieces are perfectly protected and placed in a purpose-built structure, and they are stored inside another larger structure.

The whole set is in excellent condition.

Ideal for collectors, as well as historians or chess enthusiasts.
