Description from the seller
Bodywork & Lak
This Mercedes is in very good condition regarding the paintwork. It does show the usual signs of use. All trim strips are in good condition. The soft top is in decent condition. There is a small crack by the window that has been repaired (see the photos).
The rims are also in good condition and are equipped with tires with sufficient tread. The light fixtures are also intact and have no damage.
The closing and opening of the hard top and the soft top are also in good order.
Technical
The Mercedes has been maintained by a Mercedes dealer since new and is very well maintained. The engine starts smoothly and runs very well. The 5.0-liter V8 is paired with a very smoothly shifting automatic transmission. All components of the undercarriage have been checked by us and found to be in good condition.
INTERIOR:
The interior of this SL500 looks very good and well cared for. The dashboard is very neat and beautifully finished with wood. The woodwork is also neat and shows little to no damage.
The well-known flaps on the sun visors are also in good condition; these are often broken off or missing. The steering wheel and instrument panel are very nice. Original 'SL' floor mats are present.
In the trunk: an original CD changer, a tool kit, and a spare wheel. Original wind deflector and cover cap.
Documentation
There is a lot of documentation with the Mercedes, such as invoices, service records, and maintenance history. Everything has been neatly kept by the previous owner.
The Mercedes is equipped with Belgian registration papers that allow a license plate to be obtained throughout Europe. If the new owner would like to have a Dutch registration plate, we can arrange that.
Transport within the Netherlands is free.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
