Pair of gilt bronze candelabras in antique style, Luigi XV, dating 1800–1850, with circular bases and three volutes, each about 25.5 cm high and 13.5 cm wide; two items in good condition with age-related wear and slight gilding loss on one piece.
Description from the seller
Pair of gilded bronze candlesticks in the Louis XVI style, dating from the 19th century or earlier.
The candlesticks feature a circular base topped by three volutes that fit into the shaft through a central pear-shaped boss. The shaft is always decorated with very graceful volutes, and the candle fittings are equally refined.
Completely chased and finished.
Dimensions: 13.5 cm in diameter × 25.5 cm in height (approx.).
Good overall condition, they show the classic signs of wear and one of the two has lighter gilding and in some spots it is absent. (see photo). The candlesticks are slightly bent, a sign of antiquity.
