Description from the seller

Icon on a plaque – Saint Bishop (hierarch)
Russia, late 19th / early 20th century
Chromolithography on metal, wooden frame.

The item up for auction is an icon on a metal plate, depicting a standing figure of a saint bishop (hierarch) in richly adorned liturgical vestments, with a raised hand in a blessing gesture and a pastoral staff in the left hand.

Material: printed sheet metal, wooden frame
Technique: chromolithography on metal
Dating: late 19th / early 20th century.
