Description from the seller

This is a work of high textile craftsmanship, a classic example of a luxury linen ensemble typical of European tradition (very common in fine Italian or French productions from the first half of the 20th century). It is pure linen in an ecru or natural cream color. The weave is tight and regular, a sign of high-quality yarn that feels cool to the touch and offers great durability over time.
Lacework: The most valuable feature is the wide edge in Cantù lace (or Venetian-type bobbin lace). One notices a very complex workmanship with:
Punto Venezia and Punto Rete: The varying densities of the lace create a play of transparency and relief.
Floral Motifs and Volutes: The lace design is rich in Baroque motifs and stylized florals, which extend toward the interior of the tablecloth with shaped, scalloped tips.
Embroidery and Finishes:
Punto Pieno and Punto Erba: The body of the tablecloth features delicate floral embroidery done by hand that echoes the motifs of lace.
Punto Giorno (Hemstitch): The connection between the lace and the linen fabric is finished with a meticulous punto giorno, which serves as a decorative frame.
Engraving: There are small cut-out inserts with eyelet finishes inside the floral embroidery.
The napkins
The coordinated napkins echo the same style as the tablecloth:
They feature a corner lace insert identical to that of the main edge.
The edges are finished with an extremely fine, hand-stitched hem, preserving the elegance of the entire set.
