This extraordinary sphere presents a striking play of colors in bold ochre, brown, and white tones, interspersed with black-blue lines and veins that run in vibrant waves across the entire surface. The rhythmically flowing layers are reminiscent of petrified wood, desert landscapes, or the structure of tiger's eye—giving this sphere a powerful, earthy aura.
The composition appears organic yet graphic: the light, milky-white bands contrast vividly with the warm orange tones, while deep dark inclusions appear almost like ink drawings. The polished surface highlights the intense colors and texture of the stone particularly well.
Although the sphere is reminiscent of opalescent rock formations, this is probably not a classic Australian opal, but rather an opalescent rock or a heavily banded jasper with opalescent elements—possibly from Australia. A precise mineralogical identification would be ideal for a precise classification. Regardless, this piece is a visual highlight—powerful, complex, and full of movement.
