Verreries Doyen – Large Art Deco vase – Floralies series

Beautiful Art Deco vase from the 1930s made by Verreries et Gobeleteries de Doyen from Havré-Ville, Belgium, for their Floralies series.

The vase is made in smoky ‘fumé’ glass, is optically blown and has a wavy edge. The shape is typical of the Floralies production and is depicted on plate 131 of the Doyen catalog from the interwar period. This piece measures approximately 30 cm high. Remnants of a Floralies sticker are present on the vase (see photos).

Given the age, the vase is in very good used condition with limited signs of aging. Small enclosed glass bubbles are normal for the production process at that time.
