Authentic Space Age telescopic alarm lamp, a refined example of European Mid-Century Modern design from the early 1970s. Designed as an intelligent bedside object, it combines lighting and timekeeping with distinctive technical solutions and a clean, functional aesthetic.
The lamp offered is original, vintage, and pre-owned, finished in its original white colour, remarkably uniform and free from discoloration. The structure is intact, with only minor signs of age consistent with careful use.
Tested and Working Features
Electro-mechanical alarm clock, tested and keeping accurate time
Three alarm modes, a particularly interesting and uncommon feature:
audible alarm
flashing light alarm
combined sound and flashing light
Automatic OFF function: lowering the lamp while switched on turns it off automatically; lifting it reactivates the light
Four-section telescopic arm, with a final circular section allowing multiple head orientations
Fitted with the original Philips bulb, Made in Germany, 12V 15W, as per factory specification
The lamp has been carefully inspected and cleaned. The clock mechanism is in very good condition and holds time reliably. The original rubber feet on the base are still intact, confirming its excellent state of preservation.
