Description from the seller

銘入伝統的和出刃包丁 ― 秀貞・玉三郎・兼定

Lot of 3 Vintage Japanese Deba Knives – Signed Blades by Renowned Makers

This lot features three vintage traditional Japanese Deba knives, all signed and attributed to well-known makers, suitable for collectors, restorers, and professionals familiar with Japanese knives.

Deba knives are thick, heavy single-bevel blades traditionally used for fish processing, including filleting and cutting through small bones. Their weight and robust construction distinguish them from Yanagiba knives.

■ Knives Included (from left to right)

Hidesada Tokusen (秀貞特撰)
A premium-grade blade marked “Tokusen”, indicating selected quality.
The handle is branded with a “Registered Hidesada (登録秀貞)” burn mark.

Echigo Tamazaburō (越後玉三郎 作)
Signed blade from the Echigo tradition.
The handle bears a label reading “Registered Tamazaburō (登録玉三郎作)”, confirming maker attribution.

Meishō Kanesada (名匠兼定 作)
Blade signed “Master Craftsman Kanesada”, with the same inscription burned into the handle, indicating pride in authorship and brand identity.

■ Approximate Dimensions (estimated from image)

Blade length: approx. 150–180 mm

Overall length: approx. 290–320 mm

(All measurements are approximate, based on the reference scale visible in the images.)

■ Condition

These are authentic vintage knives and show significant signs of age and use, including:

Rust, patina, stains, and surface scratches

Small chips, edge wear, and tip damage

Handle cracks, chips, and wear

Traces of removed or aged labels

■ Important Notice
This lot is sold as-is.
Please bid only if you fully understand and accept the condition, and if you are able to clean, sharpen, and repair vintage Japanese knives yourself.
