DESCRIPTION:
Magnificent Canadian commemorative 20-dollar coin, issued in 1992 by the Royal Canadian Mint, devoted to the beginnings of powered aviation in Canada.
The reverse features the famous Curtiss JN-4 'Canuck' biplane, the first aircraft manufactured in Canada, accompanied by a gold medallion depicting Glenn Curtiss, a pioneer of aviation.
The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Dora de Pédery-Hunt.
Proof-quality coin (numismatic proof), with mirror fields and frosted reliefs.
