Set of two Turkish Melas rugs, bed runner – 1950s–1960s
We present an original set of two Melas Turkish rugs, authentic traditional pieces from Anatolia, handwoven in the mid-20th century, roughly 1950–1960.
These carpets belong to the classical Melas pattern, recognizable by its balanced geometric composition, its well-defined central field, and the harmony of soft, warm colors characteristic of this region in the southwest of Turkey.
Both pieces have been completely handwoven, using 100% natural wool in both the warp and the weft, which gives them strength, a pleasant texture, and excellent durability over time.
