AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Very rare retrospective by Bernard Plossu - a true collector's item!

French New Mexican photographer Bernard Plossu says, "In photography, you do not capture time, you evoke it. It flows like fine sand, ceaselessly, and changing landscapes do not change it." This fine monograph, published as a companion to Valenica's IVAM Centre's major retrospective, presents a very convincing argument for Plossu's statement. These images are infused with an ambiguous sense of time and presence, whether portraying street scenes in Madrid or the New Mexican desert. The illustrations are richly toned, and beautifully rendered, including numerous color drawings and Fresson types (an early color process revived by Plossu.). Very nice layout and Plossu's best photos beautifully printed.

Condition: outside very good, protected by a removable plastic cover. Just a bit of yellowing of the book block. Inside clean and unmarked, no creased pages, just minor handling signs. Overall excellent condition for an almost 30 year old book.
