Contemporary minimalist pedestal in beige travertine marble, 100 cm high with a 40x40 cm base, black iron support and a clear glass top, made in Italy, in like-new condition.
Description from the seller
The pedestal features a minimalist and elegant design, combining noble materials with clean lines and balanced proportions.
Base: a prism-shaped block of travertine marble, monolithic and vertical, with natural veins visible in beige and sandy tones. The finish appears polished matte or satin, which enhances the stone's natural texture and provides visual and structural solidity.
Structural element: at the top, a piece of iron emerges, discreet and functional, acting as a support. Its dark finish contrasts with the clarity of the travertine and reinforces the contemporary character of the overall composition.
Upper surface: a transparent glass panel, of notable thickness, perfectly cut and resting on the metal framework. The glass provides visual lightness, letting the pedestal's shape be visible and preventing the assembly from feeling heavy.
As a whole, it is a sober, sculptural, and timeless piece, ideal as an exhibition pedestal, a side table, a plant stand, for sculptures, or as a decorative support in modern or elegantly restrained classic interiors. The combination of natural stone, metal, and crystal conveys a balance between robustness and lightness, with a clear architectural vocation.
Contemporary Design (Main)
Straight lines, pure geometry, and total absence of ornamentation.
Functional and visible use of glass and iron.
An architectural and minimalist approach, characteristic of contemporary design.
Classical / Mediterranean influence
The travertine marble directly evokes Roman and classical architecture, but here it is reinterpreted without capitals, moldings, or decoration.
