Antique candle holder dating from the 18th century, finely carved in the artisanal tradition of the era. The object features a classical decoration concentrated on the sole front-facing part, as is customary for items intended to be placed on a surface or set against one.
The decoration was probably made in Mecca, a historic technique used to achieve gilded effects of great elegance.
