Sculptural and highly functional “Ribalta” adjustable daybed, designed by Fabrizio Ballardini for Arflex. A standout example of late 20th-century Italian modernism, the Ribalta combines sleek form with flexible design, effortlessly transitioning from a streamlined sofa to a comfortable daybed.
Fabrizio Ballardini, architect since 1977, turned his attention to industrial design in 1980, working with many internationally renowned furniture factories. He designed for Arflex, Roche Bobois, Bernini, Sirrah, Bontempi, Progetti, Kenzo Maison.
The daybed’s distinctive profile features clean architectural lines, softened by plush, generously padded cushions. The backrest can be easily adjusted to multiple reclining positions or laid completely flat, making this piece ideal for living rooms, guest spaces, or studio interiors where versatility and elegance are equally prized.
