Deska Monopoly de Luxe, a Belgian paper board game in a single 46 × 24 cm set, dating to 1930–1940, in reasonable condition with the original box.
Description from the seller
Early Belgian “Monopoly de Luxe” published by DESKA – Brussels, dating from the late 1930s to the early 1940s (pre- and early-WWII period). This edition is distinguished by the original game board with Belgian cities, the classic Art Deco design, and the luxurious cardboard box, typical of the early European licensed releases.
The game is complete with the board, original French-language playing cards, banknotes and accessories. The set shows normal signs of wear and aging appropriate to its age. On the inside of the box at the top there is a later ballpoint-pen inscription; this is a postwar addition and is not part of the original edition.
Despite these signs, this remains a rare and collectible specimen, clearly distinguishable from later post-war Miro editions. An authentic piece of Belgian game history, especially sought after by collectors of early Monopoly editions and European board games.
