Three "profile" modes are available: Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic. Since the RD-6318R supports 5.1 audio at both the decoder and amplifier levels, all multichannel 5.1 audio standards are present in this case; in addition to the "profile" sound processing options, there are several other notable ones: Dolby Pro Logic II in four (!) versions: MOVIE (for movies), MUSIC (for music), MATRIX (for radio) and CUSTOM. To simulate multichannel audio using two front speakers, the Dolby Virtual mode is available.
There are also several DSP effects: HALL, THEATER, STADIUM, and CHURCH.
