-- "Special & semi-antique Tibetan rug, an impressive rug in good condition"
Professionally cleaned*
approximately 160,000 knots per m²
- With Certificate

Entry into our warehouse, cleaned at a laundry specializing in hand-knotted rugs, and subsequently no longer used.

This is a hand-knotted Oriental rug, made from sustainable, natural materials. The knotting technique and diversity of patterns make this piece unique and highlight its authentic and artisanal character.
This is an excellent use floor covering with an extremely long lifespan.

This is a lightly used, cleaned carpet that can be laid down as is. This beautiful Tibetan rug is hand-knotted circa 1960 with the finest, unbleached wool sourced from sheep in the high Tibet region. This wool is naturally extra greasy due to the cold temperatures (it acts as insulation for the sheep). When this wool is used in carpets, it not only provides a beautiful, extra luster but also serves as a natural protective layer. Wool of better quality is almost impossible to find. Naturally, there are color variations visible between pieces, due to the wool that is NOT bleached before the first dye bath. This gives the rug an authentic appearance and contributes to the character of this rug that is full of stories.

Main color: Red
Accent colors: Cream and black
Details: Rich abrash (natural color variations between fibers); Lots of sheen; Beautiful, clean and fresh; Plush, thick and cushioned rug; Magnificent sheen; Depending on the viewing angle, this rug has a lighter side and a darker side; An impressive rug; A remarkable piece; Characterful; Semi-antique.
Wear marks: Only a minimal spot of edge damage, despite it still being an impressive rug in good condition (photo 15).
