Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Original four-seat block from an Italian cinema/theatre hall by SMI, designed and manufactured by SMI in the 1930s, with curved wood seats and black metal legs, overall 254 cm wide, 84 cm high, 34 cm deep, seating height 45 cm, weight 25 kg, condition used with wear and minor missing pieces, folding seat mechanism functioning on all four seats; materials: wood and ferrous metal.
Description from the seller
Original four-seat block from a cinema/theatre hall of SMI (Società Metallurgica Italiana). Classic period construction, very sturdy, designed for intensive use.
The seats are made of curved wood with a glossy finish that highlights the grain. The legs are black metal, simple and functional. The seats are of the flip-up type (they close automatically when not in use).
Terms (Read carefully):
The chairs are used and kept in their original condition. They have not been restored to new, so they show all the marks of their history:
Wood: Scratches, small chips, and scattered signs of wear (especially on the edges and armrests). In one spot a small loss of the top wood layer is visible (see detail photo).
Metal: The black paint on the legs shows small spots of surface rust and scratches, but the structure is perfectly solid and stable.
Mechanical: The folding mechanism of the seats is still working well on all four seats.
