Antique French crystal and gilded brass chandelier dating from circa 1900–1910, with eight candle-style lights (E14), 53 cm in diameter and 65 cm high, in good vintage condition with minor signs of aging.
Description from the seller
Antique French crystal and gilded brass chandelier – circa late 19th / early 20th century
A magnificent, richly appointed antique chandelier with eight light sources. The chandelier is made of gilded brass and equipped with abundant cut crystal pendants and beaded strands, which create a brilliant light refraction.
The model has a classic Empire/Louis XVI influence, with an elegant baluster-shaped construction and finely detailed arms. The upper crown and bowl are studded with hand-cut crystals, while the middle section consists of multiple rows of facet-cut beads. The arms are gracefully curved and end in candle holders.
Equipped with eight candle-shaped light points (E14 fitting). The chandelier emits a warm and atmospheric light and is a real eye-catcher in both a classic and eclectic interior.
Condition
In good vintage condition, suitable for its age. Light signs of wear and patina on the brass. Some crystals may show light signs of wear and age-related damage, but no major defects. Electrification present and functional (advice: have it checked according to local standards).
Period: approximately 1880–1920
Origin: presumably France
Materials: gilded brass and cut crystal
Dimensions
– Total height (including chain): 65 cm, chandelier only (chain and ceiling canopy not included)
– Diameter: 53 cm
Shipping is possible but by arrangement. The costs are borne by the buyer.
