Model SR-9 - Reverberation stereo processor, in very good condition, tested and working, includes a linking cable, weight 4.3 kg, dimensions 420 × 99 × 336 mm, serial number CH2909548S.
Description from the seller
The Pioneer SR-9 is a dedicated stereo reverberation amplifier, built in the early 1980s, designed to add depth and ambience to the audio signal of hi-fi systems. It is a sound processor that expands the listening experience, allowing you to simulate different acoustic spaces from small rooms to large auditoriums.
A copy of the user manual included.
Reviewed by a specialist technician.
Audio Functions and Processing
Adjustable reverberation: control of reverberation time from 0 to 3 seconds in Echo mode — ideal for adding an “ambience” to the music.
Duet Mode: by pulling the same control, it creates a 'duet' effect, where a solo signal can sound as if it were performed by two sources.
Display Time/Depth: a dynamic visual indicator that graphically represents the time and depth of reverberation — useful both aesthetically and functionally.
Sound Data (Electrical and Audio Specifications)
Frequency response range: 5 Hz – 70 kHz (well above the standard audible range, ensuring signal integrity without premature roll-off).
Input sensitivity: 150 mV — compatible with common hi-fi lines.
Output level: 150 mV.
Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): < 0.05%, indicating very low distortion added to the signal.
Signal-to-noise ratio: ~90 dB — good separation between the musical signal and background noise.
Physical Construction and Connectivity
Dimensions (L × H × D): approx. 420 × 99 × 336 mm — standard format for rackable hi-fi components.
Weight: about 4.3 kg, with sturdy metal construction and a classic front panel from the period.
Inputs/Outputs: dedicated stereo RCA connectors for reverberation (input and output), in addition to connections for recording/rec.
Functional visual effect: front panel with LEDs indicating time/depth that pulse according to the decay rate of the effect.
Electrical power: operation at standard 220 V AC.
To properly deliver this product, it is carefully packed in very sturdy boxes, wrapped in bubble wrap with plenty of filling material. We mainly use plastic as filling material, but if you prefer another material, please contact us. The package will be shipped with insurance to protect both the buyer and the seller. For special packaging requests, please send a message after purchase. Photos serve as additional descriptions of the product's condition / display and LEDs. Please check them carefully before purchasing. Orders to islands or special destinations, such as the Canary Islands, will incur higher shipping costs.
