Torinopoli, a cardboard board game from Italy, Second Edition, one copy, brand unknown, dating to 2000–2010, in excellent condition and sealed in its original packaging.
Description from the seller
Up for auction: an unobtainable copy of Torinopoli, the cult board game dedicated to the city of Turin. It is not the mass-market commercial version, but the sought-after "Second Edition!", produced locally and long out of production for years.
The game is a satirical and cultural variant of Monopoly, deeply rooted in Piedmontese tradition. The box art is a tribute to the city's identity, with references that include:
Iconography: The Mole Antonelliana in the logo and the Gianduja mask.
Historical Figures: Portraits of Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, and Gianni Agnelli.
Local Details: References to symbols of Turin-ness such as the Fiat 500, gianduiotti, grissini, and coffee.
Language: Numerous references to the Piedmontese dialect (e.g., the button "'Nduma!" to start).
Why is it a collectors' item?
Finding a copy of Torinopoli today is difficult; finding one still sealed in its original cellophane is an extremely rare opportunity. It is a perfect item for collectors of rare board games, lovers of local history, or investors in gaming memorabilia.
