BELGIAN CONGO. Brussels. 20 Centimes. 1911. Albert I (1909-1934)
- Value: 20 centimes.
- Reign: Albert I (1909-1934).
Year: 1911.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: CONGO BELGE · BELGISCH CONGO, central five-pointed star with circular perforation and small decorative motifs around. Reverse: 20 C · 1911, large radiant star with central perforation and group of stars to the sides.
- Grade: MS63 (NGC).
Perforated 20-Centime coin from the Belgian Congo with a geometric and symbolic design characteristic of Belgian colonial numismatics from the early 20th century. The obverse presents a balanced composition with a central star and a bilingual legend, while the reverse features a large star with straight rays and a textured surface, giving visual depth to the whole. The piece shows well-preserved reliefs, clean fields with the original shine still perceptible, and a soft, uniform patina, with slight surface marks typical of its grade, resulting in an attractive piece and well-centered.
