Description from the seller
BELGIAN CONGO. Brussels. 10 Centimes. 1911. Albert I (1909-1934)
- Value: 10 Centimes.
- Reign: Albert I (1909-1934).
Year: 1911.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: CONGO BELGE · BELGISCH CONGO, central five-pointed star with circular perforation and small decorative motifs around. Reverse: 10 C · 1911, large radiant star with central perforation and group of stars to the sides.
- Grade: MS62 (NGC).
A holed 10 Centimes coin from the Belgian Congo with a geometric and symbolic design characteristic of early 20th-century Belgian colonial numismatics. The obverse features a balanced composition with a central star and a bilingual inscription, while the reverse stands out for a large star with straight rays and a contrasted texture, giving visual depth to the piece. The specimen shows well-preserved reliefs, clean fields with the original luster still perceptible, and a soft, uniform patina with light surface marks typical of its grade, resulting in an attractive and well-centered issue.
