Description from the seller

Product data sheet: Carafe/Pitcher in 800 silver
General Description
Elegant carafe in solid silver with a hallmark 800, of Italian manufacture, dating to the second half of the 20th century (circa the 1970s/1980s). The object features a globular body richly decorated with repoussé and chasing motifs, including floral elements and classical scrolls. The lower part is characterized by a refined radial beading that lends dynamism to the structure.
Technical Details
Material: 800/1000 silver (guaranteed by the original hallmarks).
Total weight: 791 grams.
Condition: Excellent structural condition. The object displays a natural patina of oxidation that attests to its authenticity and age; no significant dents or repairs are evident.
Manufacturing: Italian, identified by the trademarks.
Trademark Analysis and Punching
From the analysis of the underside of the object, the following authenticity elements are detected:
Fineness stamp: the “800” mark enclosed in an oval, certifying the metal’s purity.
Identification Mark: '77 PA' stamp inside a hexagonal lozenge. This indicates that the piece was made in Palermo (PA) by the registered manufacturer number 77.
Author's signature: A hand-engraved signature is present (it appears to read 'Handcrafted' or the silversmith's signature), underscoring its artisanal nature.
Resale label: The original sticker of the historic jewelry shop "Di Cristofalo - Palermo", known for its selection of high-quality silverware and prestigious wedding registries.
Elements of Value for the Expert
Specific Weight: With nearly 800 grams of solid silver, the object has a substantial intrinsic value based on the current price of the metal.
Origin: The traceability through a historic Palermo retailer and the confirmed identification of the producer enhance its collectible marketability.
Workmanship: The complexity of the decoration and the technique of hand repoussé elevate the object from a simple household item to an artistic artifact. I believe that, when evaluated, it will be polished and photographed better.
