A very high-quality and, due to the cardboard pages, very thick, exceptional art book from 2022, which was published in a limited and numbered edition by Walther König and sold out immediately.
The illustrated 31 color-intensive watercolor sketches were created between January 5 and 11, 2022, in landscape format DIN A4 as a manuscript for 'mood'. In the following weeks, Richter wrote short aphorisms for each sketch. These aphorisms are well-formed but nonsensical, intended to initially unsettle and then amuse the readers. Richter designed a reading book in DIN A5 format, in which the watercolor sketches are incorporated as cut double pages in chronological order. Before each sketch, there are his mysterious comments, in both German and English. The book is bound as a Flatbook, allowing the colorful sheets to run flat over the spine in their original format.
