19th-century Curule Armchair in Neo-Renaissance Style – Solid Oak with Original Leather Seat

Description

Very beautiful and authentic curule armchair (X-frame armchair) from the late 19th century, made of solid oak with an original, very thick saddle leather seat.

The armchair is richly carved in Neo-Renaissance style, with deeply detailed ornamentation and a central heraldic cartouche with a crown on the backrest. It is a fixed model (not foldable), intended as a representative armchair.

The leather is in exceptionally good condition for this type of furniture: thick, supple, and sturdy, with only a few small signs of use and light spots appropriate for its age. The hand stitches are fully intact and original. No tears or drying out.

The construction is solid and stable. The wood displays a beautiful, honest patina and shows no cracks or restorations. The armchair is in very good, original condition.
