Early 20th Century Junghans Wall Clock – Eclectic, Signed, Spiral Gong
An original and highly decorative Junghans wall clock from the early 20th century, Germany, clearly signed on the movement. A fine example of eclectic design with subtle Jugendstil influences.
The richly carved wooden case features turned columns, decorative finials and a shaped lower section with applied ornament. The brass dial is beautifully embossed with floral and ribbon motifs, fitted with Arabic numerals and original-style hands, typical of quality Junghans production from circa 1905–1915.
The original Junghans movement, stamped with the famous star logo, is in good running order and keeps time well. The clock is fitted with a spiral gong, producing a pleasant, warm chime. It retains an honest patina with only light, age-appropriate wear.
A striking and collectible piece, ideal as a statement interior object or for a serious collection.
