Description from the seller

Features & Details:
• Construction: The lamp is built around a refined, fluted (ribbed) brass column with a beautiful, natural patina. The square base and the shade are fully clad in high-quality black saddle leather.
• Craftsmanship: Featuring the iconic 'couture sellier' (hand-stitched saddle stitch) with contrasting light thread. This detail is Adnet's signature and references his close ties with the world of haute maroquinerie (such as Hermès).
• Unique Condition: What makes this lot special is that the lamp still has its original leather shade. In most cases the shade has been lost or replaced over the years; a complete leather ensemble like this is a rarity on the market.
Condition report: The lamp is in good vintage condition with a beautiful patina on the brass. The leather is supple and the construction is solid. As is appropriate for the age and the intensive handwork, the decorative stitching in three places on the base is no longer present (see close-up photo).
Origin: France
Height: 43 cm
• Diameter cap: 33 cm
• Foot dimensions: 18.5 cm x 18.5 cm
Weight: 1.2 kg
A museum-quality object that adds a touch of French history and timeless elegance to any high-end interior.
To ensure safety, we ship the lamp and the shade in separate packages.
