Signed on the plate with Adolphe Giraldon's monogram bottom right.
Blind stamp from L'Estampe Moderne lower right margin.
Dimensions:
+ Size of the sheet: 40 x 30 cm / 15,7 x 11,8 in.
+ Size of the image: 36 x 19,5 cm / 14,1 x 7,6 in.
Condition: In overall good condition, with soft handling creases at the edges and minor discoloration stains lower margin. Image very clean otherwise. Not framed.

Not unlike the Maitre de L'Affiche series, L'Estampe Moderne was a portfolio printed between 1897-99, published by Imprimerie Champenois, Paris, contained 24 monthly portfolios, with four original lithographs in each. Each was commissioned only for this series.
As well as Mucha, some of the contributing artists included Rhead, Meunier, Ibels, Steinlen, Willette and Grasset.
