Model ship

Very beautiful and intricately handmade wooden ship model, depicting a 17th–18th-century European sailing ship (galleon / early ship of the line). This model is not a kit, but clearly the product of artisanal craftsmanship.

The ship is built from solid wood with hand-placed planking, carved ornaments, and a richly detailed deck. The sails are made of real fabric and hand-sewn. The rigging consists of cotton/linen rope with wooden blocks and ladders. Along the hull are several gun ports with metal cannons installed.

On the side there is an original nameplate 'Vander Jan', presumably the ship's name or a reference to the maker, which gives the model a personal and unique character.
