16” (41 cm) charming French fashion doll in biscuit by Gaultier
Pivoting head made of biscuit on a shoulder plate of biscuit edged with leather; beautiful glass eyes 'paperweight' pale blue with a spiral thread and darker blue iris circles; dark eyelid lining, painted eyelashes, finely hatched eyebrows; nostrils outlined; closed mouth with enhanced lips; pierced ears; mohair wig on a cork skullcap; articulated leather doll body with bellows (goussets) at the elbows, hips, and knees; the doll wears an elaborate ball gown decorated with pearls, with a small fan, underwear, and leather boots.
Condition: generally excellent. The head shows no cracks or restoration.
Brands: F.G. (on the shoulder plaque).

16" (41cm) Lovely antique French bisque poupée by Gaultier
Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, pale blue paperweight with beautiful eyes featuring spiral threading and darker blue iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered eyebrows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips, and knees. The poupee is dressed in an elaborate ball gown with beads and a small fan, undergarments, and leather boots.
Condition: generally excellent. She has no hairline issues or history of hair restoration.
Marks: F.G. (shoulderplate).
