RICHES & LEE copper beaker and coaster set from Europe dating to the mid-20th century, comprising two large hammered copper beakers with handles and matching coasters under the Riches & Lee maker mark with a deer motif, plus a smaller copper beaker without a maker mark, condition good with patina.
Description from the seller
Copper lot consisting of two large copper mugs with handles and matching coasters, as well as a small copper mug.
The two large mugs have, on their underside, an imprint of “RICHES & LEE” and a deer motif. They are made of solid copper and display a decorative hammered surface, typical of handcrafted copperwork from the 20th century. The mugs each rest on a matching, also hammered copper coaster.
The smaller copper cup stylistically complements the set, but is without the manufacturer's mark.
Copper objects of this kind were traditionally used as drinking vessels (e.g., for water or tea) or as decorative table pieces. The natural patina emphasizes the authentic character and the age of the pieces.
