Hellenistic gold hollow-bead earrings dating to ca. 400–300 BC, total weight 1.5 g, about 16–17 mm in length, in very good condition with minor surface wear, provenance Greece from a private Belgian collection and later the London market, acquired in 2023 from a UK specialist, with an authenticity certificate.
Description from the seller
Pair of gold earrings (Hellenistic), ca. 400–300 BCE.
Hollow body, slightly fusiform, with twisted terminals and a frontal decoration of three small beads (granulation). Fine workmanship, typical of classical Greek goldsmithing.
Dimensions: approx. 16–17 mm
Total weight: approx. 1.5 g
Condition: very good for its age, slight surface wear due to age, no restoration (see photos).
