Description from the seller
Elegant jewelry box in inlaid burl wood – 19th century
Refined 19th-century box, crafted with exquisite burr veneer featuring an intense and deep grain, typical of high-end cabinetmaking of the nineteenth century.
The upper surface is embellished with a rich central cartouche-inlaid motif, featuring finely worked foliate elements and fluted borders that enhance its elegance and compositional balance.
The proportions are harmonious and well thought out, with a strong stage presence despite their compact size.
