Splendid triptych of graphic works by the Italian artist G. Surace, created with the technique of polymaterial silkscreen on a gold leaf base. The works capture the essence of the landscape and traditional Italian architecture with a decisive and elegant stroke.
The lot includes:
1. The Trulli: Representation of Alberobello's iconic houses (Apulia).
2. View of the Old Town: A perspective view of a staircase in a Mediterranean historic center with birds in flight.
3. Lacustrine/Maritime Landscape: A natural composition with trees in the foreground and a body of water.
Technical Details
• Artist: G.Saurace (signed at the bottom).
• Technique: Screen printing on gold/silver leaf.
• Era: the '70s / '80s.
• Frames: Included, in carved wood with a gold finish, in Baroque/classical style.
• Condition: Excellent. The painted layer and the gold leaf are well preserved. Slight signs of aging on the frames that attest to their vintage authenticity (see photos).
