AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

The Polychromie Architecturale is a color system developed by architect Le Corbusier for architectural color design.
Le Corbusier designed for the wallpaper company Salubra two color collections: the “Clavier de couleurs” from 1931 with 43 hues and the 1959 collection with 20 colors. However, he was not content with simply choosing 43 colors, which he backed by his experience as an architect and painter; instead, he organized the tones on 12 pattern cards so that, with a slider, three to five colors could be isolated or combined. Each of these cards contained a different color mood, intended to evoke a specific spatial effect in application. Thus not only was a useful tool created, but also a kind of testament to purist color theory emerged: an indispensable foundation and a valuable working instrument for all who engage with color in theory and practice."}
