Italian walnut sideboard – Louis-Philippe style, late 19th / early 20th century
Description
Elegant Italian two-door sideboard with upper drawers, made between the late 19th and the early decades of the 20th century.
The furniture is attributable to the Louis Philippe / sober Umbertino style, characterized by clean and balanced lines, shaped panels on the doors, and harmonious proportions.
The structure is solid and well-preserved, originally designed for a dining room or living room.
The sideboard features:
Two upper drawers
Two hinged doors with contoured paneling.
Original locks, one with a key and a decorative tassel.
Backrest made of solid wood boards, typical of the era.
The original patina is present and has not been altered by recent restorations.
Conditions
Good overall condition
There are normal signs of wear (abrasions, light discolorations on the sides and back), consistent with the age of the furniture.
Structurally stable. Not recently restored.
