- Valour: Medal.
- Year: 2019.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: Chinese dragon with a coiled body inside an ornamental circle, with the Chinese characters 上海 and 壹两 distributed around. Reverse: ONE TAEL · SHANGHAI · HONG KONG · 1867, with a quartered crowned shield in the center and the mark G 566 at the bottom.

Modern commemorative issue medal, copper-nickel plated, reproducing a design inspired by the 19th-century Shanghai taels. The obverse features a traditional-style Chinese imperial dragon, finely detailed, with strong relief and excellent definition in the scales, claws, and facial expression, contrasting against deep mirror fields. The reverse shows a Western-influenced crowned heraldic shield, surrounded by an inscription in English, with crisp and balanced engraving. An absolute proof-quality specimen, with intense contrast between mirrored fields and frosted reliefs, no visible defects, representative of the highest level of preservation.
