Yoshitomo Nara (奈良 美智, Nara Yoshitomo, born December 5, 1959, in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese artist. He lives and works in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture, although his artwork has been exhibited worldwide. Nara has held nearly 40 solo exhibitions since 1984. His artwork has been housed at the MoMA and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (LACMA). His most well-known and recurring subject is a young girl with piercing eyes.

N's YARD was born out of Yoshitomo Nara's desire to establish a space in Japan where his works could be enjoyed in a more casual, personal setting.
Y’s YARD is a contemporary art space showcasing the work of Yoshitomo Nara and other modern artists. In addition to artworks, the exhibits feature record sleeves and art objects lovingly collected by Nara over many years.
