6,000–7,000-year-old pottery
Only recently (in 1974) have these treasures been found in excavations in northeastern Thailand, and in Europe they are generally to be seen only in the great museums.
Almost all German museums in this field have acquired some pieces, particularly the Linden-Museum in Stuttgart, the Museum of Indian Art in Berlin, the Museum of East Asian Art in Cologne, and the Hetjens Museum in Düsseldorf.
